When: October 8th, 2026. 6-9pm (doors open at 5:30)
Where: Kum Koon Garden (257 King Street, Winnipeg, MB)

Join us for a night of solidarity and good food to support the Manitoba Health Coalition’s work defending and improving public health care.
We will be handing out our Public Health Care Champion Award, which was created to honour a person(s) or organization that has demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of public health care. This year we will be honouring the Manitoba Senior’s Equity Action Coalition (MSEAC).
MSEAC is a Coalition focused on promoting quality of life and equity among older adults in Manitoba through community advocacy, education, and research. Their advocacy helped establish Manitoba’s first Seniors Advocate and they are committed to defending and improving public health care for Manitobans as they age, including expanding public access to home and long-term care.
The event will be MC’d by MHC’s vice chair Michael Redhead Champagne and will feature a keynote address from the Canadian Health Coalition’s Steven Staples.
The Raging Grannies will open and close the evening with song and there will be lots of great prizes and a 50/50 draw to add to the fun.
