On October 30th, 2025, the University of Manitoba Students’ Union (UMSU) organized a rally outside the legislature in collaboration with the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association (UWSA) to demand answers on promised healthcare coverage for international students. Students and student leaders gathered at Manitoba legislature to call on the NDP to provide a timeline for when it plans to fulfil a two-year-old campaign promise.
MHC director Noah Schulz was there to support the students’ efforts and to call for the restoration of public health coverage for international students.
